Flip the bird landed on the swings.
“Hey, friends!” he chirped. “Do you like tag, soccer, or dancing?”
“YES!” the kids shouted.
“Being active is awesome,” Flip said. “Your heart beats fast, your smile gets bigger, and you feel proud.”
He leaned closer. “But you know what’s even better? When someone cheers for you or helps you try something new.”
Recognition means someone notices what you did.
“Great job kicking the ball!”
“You’re running faster!”
Support means someone helps you keep going.
A friend plays catch with you.
A teammate says, “Come on, you can do it!”
“When people notice AND help,” Flip said, “you feel cared for. You keep trying — even if it’s tricky.”

Flip landed on the soccer field.
“Sometimes, starting something new is fun and easy,” he said. “But later, it can feel harder. That’s when you might want to quit.”
He fluffed his feathers. “That’s why support and cheers matter most right then!”
Encouragement makes you brave.
“If a friend says, ‘Join me for basketball,’ you feel ready to try.”Kind words keep you practicing.
“Hearing, ‘You’re doing great!’ makes you want to keep going.”Feeling proud makes it more fun.
