Taking the First Step Starts Today

Your surgical team is already preparing. They are reviewing tests, planning your procedure, coordinating your care, and getting everything ready for the day of surgery.

Now it is your turn.

Not to do something extreme. Not to become an athlete. Not to completely change your life over the next few weeks.

Just to take the first step.

Let's start small, together.

We know this may not feel easy. By the time many people reach this point, they have already been through a lot. You may have spent years being told to exercise more, lose weight, or make healthier choices. You have probably thought about it many times. You may have started several times. You may have had periods of success, only to see life, pain, fatigue, stress, work, family responsibilities, or other challenges get in the way.

If that sounds familiar, you are not alone. Many people find themselves in this situation, and there are often good reasons why making changes has been difficult.

We want you to know something important.

It's not about perfection. It's about progression.

This is not about doing everything right. It is not about keeping up with anyone else. It is not about how far you can walk, how fast you can move, or how much you can accomplish today.

It is simply about taking the next small step and giving your body the opportunity to become a little stronger before surgery. This is about helping your body become stronger before surgery and helping it recover better afterward. Every walk matters. Every movement matters. Every small effort matters.

Research shows that people who become more active before surgery recover more quickly, regain independence sooner, and tolerate treatment and recovery better. The goal is not to transform your body in a few weeks. The goal is to help your body build a little more strength, a little more resilience, and a little more reserve before surgery day arrives.

The opportunity: GoGet.Fit, the app with real people supporting real people like you.

The good news is that you do not have to do this alone. That is why you were invited to join GoGet.Fit. Behind this program are real people who understand how difficult it can be to get started. We know motivation comes and goes. We know some days will feel easier than others. We know that life happens.

No judgement here. There is no pressure. ... you are trying. That is all that matters. Again, it's not about perfection, it is about intent and progression! Our one job is to support you, recognize your efforts, and help you keep moving forward one step at a time.

So what should you do this week?

Keep it simple.

The most important thing you can do is schedule a few small activities.

Pick a day. Pick a time. Decide what you will do. And plan for it. Imagine getting it done.

Maybe it is a five minute walk. Maybe it is walking to the end of the driveway and back. Maybe it is one of the exercises your healthcare team sends you. Maybe it is something even smaller.

The activity itself is not the most important part right now. The most important part is creating a plan and following through.

Once you have scheduled it, do your best to complete it. Then document it in the app.

Schedule it.          Do it.                Log it.

That is success. Some days you may do exactly what you planned. Some days you may do less. Some days you may surprise yourself and do more. All of those are okay.

What matters is showing up and building momentum.

Over the coming weeks, we will send you simple activities and exercises that are especially important for preparing your body for surgery and recovery. You will add on other activities like walking, pool exercises, what ever a happy healthy heart desires.

For today

we are asking only one thing:

Just Start!!

But, choose your small activity.

Choose a time. Put it in your schedule.

Then just do it.

Your surgical  team is doing their part.

Now it is time for you to be supported doing yours on your terms.

Together, we can help give your body the best possible opportunity to face surgery, recover well, and move forward with confidence.

Start today.
‍ ‍One activity.

One step.

One success at a time.

It's not about perfection. It's about progression.

Together, let’s just do it!
